Car Mechanic

Here is the Car mechanic:
It's still a work in progress, but i'm almost done modeling him.
I have to say i realy enjoyed working on the face!!

Grandpa Side Face

Kind of like my sketch, but in the new concept he's a happy character.
I think the side maches the sketch kinda good, though i find modeling his front a bit more dificult :)

Robot compositing concept.. (rough background)

Overall compositing & color test:

Some form of a luxury render (took a bit to long per frame for the computer that i have now,

but i thought, let share it :P This is a little preview of the quality where i finaly want to go to (with my new 8 core, 2x xeon i7 :D :D )

it's still a concept, it's about the overal idea..

The background is not finished btw, there are some errors in it as well..

The model is also not at it's top, not totaly smoothed etc, And it definitly needs a lot of rust and broken parts! I have to check what my pc can handle for now, bottleneck!!

For compositing this was also an Occlusion and depth of field test..

Hmm and i think the colors are maybe a bit to happy now..

Enough moaning, back to work!!

Robot modeling progress

Robot modeling update (not in real colors jet, just a modeling render test):



I'm furter than this, but i upload that soon, i'ts about all the things you don't realy see.
The stuff behind the model you mostly see when it's textured and animated. Rigging and uv-mapping are realy time consuming, but later on it will pay off :D

Ah and i really have to start with his face, though i kind of like this order of workin now,
so i can purely focus on the body, and don't get distracted bij a face all the time :)
